The “beginner pack” is usually good enough to begin learning on, what is the important thing is now motivated you are to practice. If you’re not motivated to practice, the beginner pack is a good choice because you will not have wasted as much money.
Yes, there’s a big difference between buying a guitar at Walmart as opposed to a music shop, it actually feels different to play them so if you are actually serious about it I would def. go with a more expensive one, not too expensive, but yea. A Fender Strat or Squire is a good way to start, they’re same thing pretty much but Squire’s are less expensive than Strats because they’ll sometimes have defects like a slightly deformed neck or something, but not usually, just make sure you try out whatever guitar it is tht you get for a good little bit before you spend your money on it.
buy a full size steel acoustic (depending on styleof music )string, once u start lessons u want a better guiatar, no point wasting another couple hudred on a new one, but if u happen to stop learning its not much of a waste, so get a naverage, not expensive but no a cheap one, or get a value pack 200-300
Cheaper guitar. You might end up not liking playing the guitar as much as you thought you would. So to be on the safe side, buy a cheap guitar that is a good brand like Morrison or something. Yamaha is always a good starter. A cheap acoustic guitar shouldn’t be that expensive.
The cheap stuff is a good idea until you know for sure that you want to play guitar for sure. I play and I have bought both the cheap ones and the higher dollar ones.
If you shell out the money for an expensive guitar, then please practice tenaciously and stick to taking lessons. Your life will be enriched by it. If you’re just taking lessons to impress someone or to be like someone you know, go buy a cheap one. You might find out you don’t really want to play guitar.
Nowadays I buy the more expensive guitars, but I started playing 30 years ago. When I started, I had a cheap student guitar. I played on that cheap student guitar for years.
I wouldn’t spend huge amounts of money until you know that you’re totally serious about playing guitar. The Fender and Ibanez “starter” packs are decent beginner guitars and are good quality. I wouldn’t spend over $200 on a guitar if you’re just starting out. Better to spend $50 on a used name brand guitar from craigslist.
The beginner guitars usually suffice, but the key word here is usually. I’m buying the same beginner pack that my cousin did and I love it (it’s something by Ibanez, a VJ50 or something like that.) I bought this to replace my first guitar that i bought on eBay. It was absolutely terrible- the tone was off, i couldn’t get it to stay in tune, and the action was terrible making it impossible to play barre chords. So you really have to watch when you buy a budget guitar from a third party.. Sometimes you get what you pay for, but sometimes you can get a deal if the person selling it doesn’t know what they’re doing.
